Not long after posting about the similar prices of Thierry Henry and Darren Bent, Murph asked me if I was joking. He couldn’t believe that Henry was going so cheaply and, more astonishingly, that Bent had a £17m price tag on his head. Can anyone? I think Arsenal are in a spot of bother because I felt that for next season they needed a quality striker to play alongside Henry. Now they’ve lost him too I’m not sure where the goals are going to be coming from.

It would seem that finally I can have the TV package I always wanted. When the Sky monopoly was broken and Setanta won rights to various matches I was dubious as to how that was going to benefit viewers. I wanted to be able to buy the Sky Sports package for £15ish without having to also buy loads of other ‘entertainment’ channels I’d never watch for another £20 on top of that. I even wrote to Sky about it but they have no plans to change their pricing structure. Maybe they will now… It would seem that for £15 a month you can subscribe to the Setanta Sports Pack and for that you get nine sports channels and for that you get a golf channel, a couple of horse racing channels and an American sport channel. More importantly you also get :
