Knocking In The Night (And Day…)

It would help if I knew what to do about it, but as I don’t know where it’s coming from I don’t.
I’ve been awake since half one this morning because of it, and there’s no sign that it’ll be gone by tonight…

Well, it’s coming from the wall adjoining next door. It’s loudest (typically) in our bedroom and Alfie’s room, but you can’t really hear it in the attic, which suggests it might be something in next door’s attic, as their roof is lower than ours so it’s at the same level as our room. I’ve been round yesterday morning but I think I’m going to have to go around again this afternoon. I can’t think of anything it might be in our house…

Dark green now! I had the orange when I got here first. So just the purple to go.

Just been next door. They haven’t heard anything (although I did hear it from their front room when I was round there yesterday) so I don’t know what to do. I sat in the front room listening to it, but I’ve just stuck my head up in the attic and couldn’t hear a thing.
I was stood outside at 3 this morning with ear to the exterior wall listening to it…

I think if you can hear it from your bedroom, and from outside the exterior wall, and from their living room…but not in your attic - then you should probably sleep in the attic.

Ah, I didn’t make the link between the wind and the noise but that sounds fair enough.
