Cambridge United at Wembley
Posted in Football on 05/18/2008 08:35 am by foolhandyThis is where I write something deep and meaningful.
Or rather I’m too nervous to so I’ll settle for this…
All I want is that come night-fall I can still sing (to the theme of The Flintstones) :
Cambridge! Mighty Cambridge!
We’re the greatest team in history…
We hate, Peterborough!
And we’ve never lost at Wem-ber-ley!
It doesn’t take a genius to work out the scenario that ruins the chant but positivity is winning at the moment…
We’re Going Up With Jimmy & Willy!
COME ON YOU ‘U’s!!!

Hey mate. You might feel sad tonight, but look at who actually finished forth from bottom. We here do not seem to have a club anymore. We’re gone. The problem is that I,in Halifax, care more that United do not lose to Chelsea. And therein lies the problem.

Thanks Grainne..it’s OK.
Indeed Dan… A couple of years ago we were where Halifax are now, but we’ve come back. Hopefully Halifax will do it in some form or another.
As disappointed as I am now I know this is the first season in seven that we’ve bettered the previous year’s league position so getting to Wembley was an achievement in itself.
To be honest I’d really rather be a Cambridge supporter than follow a Premiership club. When the Abbey rocks you feel it, and you can get into there any game without a ticket and for less than £15.
